I went to Kendrick Woods yesterday. I spent almost 3 hours there walking and taking pictures. I feel close to God in His beautiful creation of nature. It was awewsome. I really enjoy taking pictures of God's Paint. He paints us pictures every day. All we have to do is open our eyes and look.
Psalm 66:5 (NKJV)5 Come and see the works of God; He is awesome in His doing toward the sons of men.
Psalm 118:23 (NKJ)23 This was the LORD’s doing; It is marvelous in our eyes.
I praise God \☺/ and thank Him for all His works! And I thank Him for allowing me to photograph and share a little bit of it.
Here is a link to view the pictures, if you would like to see them.

Sometimes
Sometimes, no matter how badly you want to be able to fix things, all you can do is pray and stand. Just put it into our Heavenly Father's hands and stand.
Ephesians 6:13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
I am praying, standing, and praising God. \☺/
I know that He is in control. His will, will, be done.
Genesis 50:20 But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.

Praising God
I am praising and thanking GOD today. I praise and thank HIM for who HE is. I praise and thank HIM for the Love, Grace, Mercy, Guidance, Comfort, Blessings, Forgiveness, and all HE gives me. Because HE gives me these, I also can give them to others.
GOD is so good.
Psalm 106:1
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.
Romans 11:36
For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.
Psalm 40:3(NKJV)
GOD is so good.
Psalm 106:1
Praise the LORD. Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.
2 Corinthians 1:3-4Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.
Romans 11:36

Psalm 40:3(NKJV)
He has put a new song in my mouth—Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear, And will trust in the LORD.

Friday Morning
It is Friday morning. The temperature is 72 degrees. I have the windows open. There is a soft rain falling. I can hear it above the hum of the computer. I have my coffee beside me. Life is good. God has blessed me abundantly. :o}

What Happened To My Family?
What happened to my family's closeness? It seems with each death in the family and each passing year, we are growing farther apart. That seems to me to be the exact opposite of what should be happening!! It is WORK to be able to get everybody together for ANYthing! Even Christmas! We do Christmas together the same time every year. Wouldn't you think it would be easier to plan? What if Jeff and I quit making the 300 mile trip/effort to be there? Would that be easier for everyone? When Mamaw McFarling passed away is when I felt the closeness start to fade. When Uncle Bill, Uncle Larry and Aunt Wanda passed, I felt it even more. Now that my Dad and Mom have passed, I feel more than just miles apart from my family. It almost feels as if there is an invisible wedge between some family members. Or was it just me who felt the closeness in the first place? Maybe it was all in my, then naive, way of thinking. Maybe I just 'thought' we were a closeknit family. Was I being silly? Was there ever really that caring for each other?
Is it as prophesied in the Bible?
Matthew 24:12 (NKJV)
12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.
Most Precious Heavenly Father,
I come to you in praise and thankfulness for every blessing you give to me and my family and for the grace, mercy and love you give to us. Lord I lift my family to you today. Lord, please let us realize that we may not have "another chance" to see each other again. Each time may be the last before you call us home. Please heal and bring us together as an unconditional loving, close, caring family. Please forgive our transgressions, and help us to forgive each other for any mistakes that have been made. Lord please grant us grace, mercy and love toward each other as you have shown to us. To You be the glory forever.
In Jesus name I thank you and pray,
Amen
1 Corinthians 13:13 (NKJV)
13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Wake Up
I am thankful to God to be able to live in America. I am proud to be an American Who Trusts In GOD. That is posted on every email I send AND every envelope that leaves this house. It has been laid on my heart to write this.
Wake Up
God made this world.
^Hebrews 3:4 (NKJV)^
For every house is built by someone, but He who built all things is God.^
We have forgotten that we are allowed to live in this world because of God's will for us. It is His plan that we are supposed to be carrying out, not ours. It is not about us! We are here to bring Him glory. God has 'allowed' us to prosper in this country. We have, until the last several years, put God first and allowed Him to be the foundation of this country. But now we have asked Him to leave our country. We have seen immoral things and made them good. We have made it ok to kill, lie, and steal. We have no more compassion or love. It is a 'me' mentality. And we have let it all happen and made it normal. That is not normal. It seems this country has lost it's way. We used to stand up for the little guy. We used to help one another. There used to be love in this place. Where did it go?
^Matthew 22:37-40 (NKJV)^ 37 Jesus said to him, “You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”^
If you do these things, everything else will fall into place!!
^Matthew 24:12 (NKJV)^
12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.^
^1 Corinthians 13:1-3 The Greatest Gift^
1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. 2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.^
^Psalm 16:2(KJV)^
O my soul, you have said to the LORD,“You are my Lord, My goodness is nothing apart from You.”^
I just wish that people would 'get it'. God has allowed us to prosper. With out Him we can do nothing and are nothing. If He takes His hand from us we will cease to be. He loves us, even though some turn against Him, refuse to even acknowledege that He exists. He loves all of us anyway. It costs you nothing to love and care about your fellow human beings. And even if it does cost you, God will bless you more than you gave.
^Luke 6:38(NKJV)^
Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”^
If you disobey Him, which we are continuing to do in this country,
^Deuteronomy 28:15 (NKJV) Curses on Disobedience^
15 “But it shall come to pass, if you do not obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments and His statutes which I command you today, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you:^
And we wonder what has happened to this place! We asked for it. We need to get back to letting God have control.
^Matthew 19:26 (NKJV^
26 But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”^
^Joshua 24:15 (NKJV)^
15 And if it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”^
I would rather spend my life living as if God is real and find out in the end there isn't God, than to live my life as there is no God and find out in the end that He is Real. I know that God is real. There are too many things in this life and this world to let you see Him. His hand is with every good thing.
^Psalm 16:2(NKJV)^
O my soul, you have said to the LORD,“You are my Lord, My goodness is nothing apart from You.”^
^Philippians 4:13(NKJV)^
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.^
Please take the time to really consider the words written here. This is my opinion. But there is scripture to back up what I believe. LOVE. Love is the key. Not the warm fuzzy love you have for family or close friends. Just a general love and caring. Not wanting harm to come to anyone. Treating others the way you want to be treated. A kind word or gesture. Love them first. You WILL be blessed. Love them no matter what you may get from them in return. People are not used to kindness any more. They may think you are up to something else. They may not recieve it well. DO IT ANY WAY. You never know, it could change their life. I KNOW it will change yours.
^2 Samuel 22:31 (NKJV)^I am thankful to God. I praise Him. God is good all the time, All the time God is good.
31 As for God, His way is perfect;
The word of the LORD is proven;
He is a shield to all who trust in Him.^

I Saw God Today - George Strait

I Saw GOD Today - George Strait
I just walked down the street to the coffee shop
had to take a break
I'd been by her side for eighteen hours straight
I saw a flower growing in the middle of the sidewalk
pushing up through the concrete
like it was planted right there for me to see
the flashin' lights, the honkin' horns
all seemed to fade away
in the shadow of that hospital at 5:08
I saw God today
Chorus:
I've been to church
I've read the book
I know He's here, but I don't look
near as often as I should
Yeah, I know I should
His fingerprints are everywhere
I'd just slow down to stop and stare
opened my eyes and man I swear
I saw God today
I saw a couple walking by they were holding hands
Man, she had that glow
yeah I couldn't help but notice she was starting to show
I stood there for a minute takin' in the sky
lost in that sunset
a splash of amber melted in the shades of red
Chorus
I got my face pressed up against the nursery glass
She's sleeping like a rock
My name on her wrist wearing tiny pink socks
She's got my nose, she's got her mama's eyes
My brand new baby girl
She's a miracle
I saw God today

Psalm 66:5 (NKJV)5 Come and see the works of God;
Psalm 66:5 (NKJV)5 Come and see the works of God;
The next time a sunrise steals your breath or a meadow of flowers leaves you speechless, REMAIN THAT WAY. Say nothing and listen as heaven whispers, "Do you like it? I did it just for you."
This actually came from a greeting card. I was looking for another type of card at the time. I saw it and read it. It touched me when I read it in the store so I bought it. I still have the card. It describes the feeling I get when I take pictures of "God's Paint". You know, the pictures of 'nature' that only God can create! He blesses us each day with beauty. Even the days when the weather is not all that great! All we have to do is look. Pay a little attention. We don't even have to stop most of the time. Although sometimes what He gives is so beautiful I have to stop! LOL! And I usually take a picture of it. It only takes a minute. A lot of times the camera does not do the picture justice. It cannot capture the full essence of the scene. So if you think the picture is awesome, just imagine what it looked like in person!!! Now, does that make you want to pay attention to what you can see around you? Even if it is just your everyday drive to work, look around at what God has done just for you. Or in your own yard and neighborhood. How many shades of green can you see? The colors in the clouds or the different hues in the sky? There are flowers and hills and meadows, pine trees, maples, oaks and dozens of others. Sometimes you can see the moon in the bright daylight. Then at night the moon lights the darkness. Or maybe it is just a sliver of light. Can you hear the birds sing their songs? See them fly overhead? How about a squirrel scampering across a yard or field? God made all of these things and so much more. He made them for US. He is such an awesome God. He wants us to be pleased and enjoy and take care of our temporary home here on this earth.
Genesis 1:26-28 (NKJV)
26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.
Genesis 1:31 31 Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
Take the time today to look at what God has done just for you!
Thank you most gracious Lord!
Psalm 118:23 (NKJV)

Renewing
I spent 3 days in Southern Indiana with my family this past weekend. I really needed that renewing.
I visited my Mom's gravesite while I was there. This is the first time I have been there since the day of her funeral. I brought fresh cut dasies for her space. I spent about an hour there. I remembered and cried and now I seem to have a little closure that I didn't have before. I miss her. Some days I miss her too much :(. I always will.
We took part in the Dale City Wide Yard Sale. All my siblings were there. We cooked out (well Corkey did the cooking. Thank You Corkey ☺) and had good food and fellowship.
I am glad to be home, but I thoroughly enjoyed the time I was there. I hope I can go back again before too long. I miss my family when I am away.
