LOVE

"Love is an action, not a feeling. Love is a choice. In fact, love is a commandment."
~ Mack Timberlake

I have been thinking about this for the past couple of weeks. {I love confirmation from God}God commanded us to love each other. That love is not the warm fuzzy love that you think of when the word comes to mind. It is compassion, forgiveness, mercy giving, caring for your fellow humans. God loves each of us, unconditionally, no matter who we are. That doesn't mean we get a free pass to Heaven. He still hates our sin. We ALL sin. But, I believe, if we try our best to turn from our sin and sinful ways, He will help us if we ask. So I challenge each of you {and I challenge me too} to try loving our neighbor as ourselves. Be kind to others. Don't jump to conclusions, anger, or hate. Treat others the way you would want them to treat you if you made the same mistake that they did.

In Matthew 22:39, Jesus said, commanded,   "And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself."
You SHALL. That was not a request. It was a command. Try it, you might like it. I believe we will be blessed for it.

God Loves You

We don't have to be perfect to come to God and accept Him as our Lord and Savior. All we have to do is know and believe that Jesus Christ was God's son and He was born, lived as a pattern for us to follow, was crucified on the cross, was buried and rose 3 days later to ascend to heaven and be seated at the right hand of God. Just come to Him. Accept Him. Ask Him to come into your heart and life. Love Him. Live your life for Him and He will do the rest. God loves you just the way you are, but too much to leave you that way. Nothing can separate us from the love of God. He loves you and me, period. But, you can be lost. God loves the lost the same as those who love Him in return. God doesn't want you to be lost. And neither do I. He wants to save you from hell. But He is a gentleman. He will not force you. It is up to you to decide where you want to spend eternity.

Romans 3:23-26  for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.

And Jesus said these following things......

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

John 6:37 All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out.

Luke 19:10 for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.

John 6:40 And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

Luke 5:32 I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.

Won't you consider choosing Christ as your Savior. Please think about how much He loves you and wants His best for you. We don't have to be perfect, just willing.
