These are two different versions of the same writing. They are both so true.
I am a New Creation in Christ. I am not better than anyone else. I am just
Saved and Loved. I thank and praise God, my Father.

"When I say I am a Christian," by Maya Angelou

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not shouting "I'm clean livin'."
I'm whispering "I was lost,
Now I'm found and forgiven."

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble
and need Christ to be my guide.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak
And need His strength to carry on.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed
And need God to clean my mess.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible
But, God believes I am worth it.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I still feel the sting of pain.
I have my share of heartaches
So I call upon His name.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not holier than thou,
I'm just a simple sinner
Who received God's good grace, somehow!

When I say, "I am a Christian"
by Carol Wimmer

When I say, "I am a Christian"

I'm not shouting, "I’ve been saved!"
I'm whispering, "I get lost!
That's why I chose this way".

When I say, "I am a Christian"

I don't speak with human pride
I'm confessing that I stumble -
Needing God to be my guide

When I say, "I am a Christian"

I'm not trying to be strong
I'm professing that I'm weak
And pray for strength to carry on.

When I say, "I am a Christian"

I'm not bragging of success
I'm admitting that I've failed
And cannot ever pay the debt.

When I say, "I am a Christian"

I don't think I know it all
I submit to my confusion
Asking humbly to be taught.

When I say, "I am a Christian"

I'm not claiming to be perfect
My flaws are all too visible
But God believes I'm worth it.

When I say, "I am a Christian"

I still feel the sting of pain
I have my share of heartache,
Which is why I seek His name.

When I say, "I am a Christian"

I do not wish to judge
I have no authority...
I only know I'm loved

Firsts

Firsts

This Thanksgiving Season, let's remember

to lift those in prayer who are going

through their 'Firsts'. Their First

Thanksgiving without a loved one who

has passed away. Maybe it will be the

First birthday, holiday, week, month,

year. I know from experience that the

Firsts are very hard to get through.

And please be more patient and

considerate of others through this

Holiday Season. You never know who

may be going through a 'First'.

Heavenly Father, I lift each person

to You who is going through Firsts.

Lord You know who each and every one

is. I pray Your comfort for them, as

only You can comfort. Please give

them strength, courage, and peace.

Lord, please help them through this

time of their sadness. Let them see

the things they have to be thankful

for. Father, bring them close to You.

Please bless them in whatever it is

that You know they need. Thank You

Heavenly Father, for all the many

blessings You give to us.

In Jesus Precious Name,

Amen

John 14:18 I will not leave you
comfortless: I will come to you.

Isaiah 40:31 But those who wait
on the LORD shall renew their
strength; They shall mount

up
with wings like eagles, they

shall run and not be weary,

th

ey shall walk and not faint.

Deuteronomy 31:8 The LORD himself
goes before you and will be with
you; he will never leave you nor
forsake you. Do not be afraid; do
not be discouraged."

2 John 1:3 Grace, mercy, and peace
will be with you from God the Father
and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the
Son of the Father, in truth and love.

Be Careful Little Eyes

Be careful little eyes what you see. Matthew 6:22-23 says 22 "The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. 23 But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!

Consider Isaiah 5:20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

What you look at controls your whole body{life}. What do you watch on tv? What do you look at on the computer? What do you read? What do you 'post'?

Matthew 6:21

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

God Used Me

 God Used Me

Ephesians 2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
Proverbs 16:9 A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.

Hi, I am Deb Gamble. I am no one special. I don't have any super Kool abilities. I am just a person trying to live a life that is pleasing to God.
For a long time, I didn't think God heard me when I prayed. I thought He answered 'other' people’s prayers. I saw Him work in 'other' people’s lives. Then one day, God started me on a journey for His Glory.
I would like to share that story with you.

God Used Me. Worthless on my own, me. I do not believe in coincidence, or luck. I believe that God has a plan for each of us. God brought me and another person together as only He can. I was looking for someone to provide a specific on going service and this person provided that service.
I went to the first appointment and we hit it off and connected immediately. Now that I look back on it all, only God could have made us connect like that! We ended up exchanging email addresses and eventually cell phone numbers. As I would read my daily devotions and scripture, I would feel the need to share some of them with this person. Or they would just bring him to mind. So I started sending them to him through email. I wasn’t sure how he would react, but I did it anyway. I am so glad that I did. And I praise God that my friend was receptive to His Word.
We talked often and about all kinds of stuff, but our conversations usually came back around to God. He would ask me questions and I would dig and read to find the answers for him. I prayed a lot for him, and for me, that God would give me the right words to say to him.
I invited him to church several times. He never came to church, but I continued to pray for him and pass along scripture and devotions to him.
He was raised in the Catholic Church, but had drifted away from it. I often wondered if he was 'getting it'? But I kept on sharing, talking, and praying.
He began to have some health issues.
One Sunday afternoon he and his family were having a get together. He asked me if I would take some family pictures for him. So of course, Jeff and I went and took pictures. It was so nice that I got to meet his family.
About a month later my friend went to rest in the loving arms of Jesus. I was blessed to know him, if only for 2 short years. I miss him. But I know where he is, is the best place he can be.
I give all the Praise and Glory to GOD!
When Jeff and I went to the viewing at the funeral home, one of this man's sisters caught my eye. I could tell she wanted to talk to me. So we made our way to her. She said that she was with her brother during the night before and the morning he passed away.
She said she was sleeping and was awakened by her brother talking in his sleep. She said, "he was 'Thanking You, Deb' ". She said she wanted to thank me for leading him to Christ and being a friend to him. I immediately told her that I didn't do anything. I was the tool that God used to reach someone He loved and that I was honored to be able to be his friend.

The next morning I had an email from another of his sisters 'thanking' me for being a huge influence in her brother's life and for leading him to Christ.

God's timing is perfect. We don't always get to have confirmation of things God uses us for. But I am so thankful that God gave me confirmation this time.
Sometimes we plant. Sometimes we water. No matter what God has you doing, do it to the best of your ability and as unto the Lord. You never know who God may have watching you.
And let me tell you, if He can use me to bring one of His children to Him, He can use anyone to do great things for His kingdom.
I praise God that I will one day get to see my friend again when I get to Heaven and for using me to lead my friend to Jesus.
Like I said, if He can use me, He can use anyone, Yes Even YOU!!! Please open your eyes, ears and heart to God's leading. Be obedient to what He has for you to do. I promise, not only will you bless someone else, you will be richly blessed!

Thank you for letting me share my good news with you. I hope you have a Wonder-Filled day!

May we pray.
Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for all the times when You help us to be obedient to Your calling, for Your leading and guidance. Thank You for the words you give us to share Your love and good news with others. Thank You for the grace and mercy You give us daily. Lord we praise you for who You are. Our Love, our Rock, our Shepherd, our Light, our Strength, and most importantly our Saviour. Father, we come humbly to ask that You forgive our sins and mistakes as we strive for the goal of being more Christ-like in our daily lives. Help us quiet ourselves so we are able to hear You. Father, thank You for each person You have brought here to hear my story of Your unfailing Love. Please let it touch, and inspire each of us to be Your light for others in the darkness of this world. Father, please use us to lead others to Jesus. Help us make a difference in the lives of those around us.
In Jesus Precious Name We Pray,
Amen
